Six Baptismal Dates

May 30, 2011
We have six baptismal dates. Four for the 12th and three for the 19th. The ones on the 12th are for Sue, this older lady, and for Lorraine and her daughters the Donny Osmond fan. They all are receiving some big opposition. With Sue it is tea and getting to church, and with Lorraine, her mom broke her hip, so that is taking a lot of her time and giving her a lot of stress.
On the 19th we have Victoria and her daughter are from Ghana, very spiritual. I can’t remember if I told you about the dream she had. She came up to us while we were teaching this hobo on the street and she said "I didn’t know the Mormons were in Slough!" We got her info, went to her home to teach her and she told us about this dream she had about her friend who was dead who was Mormon. He was wearing a cap and clothes she had never seen before and he was dressed in all white. He spoke to her and told her about the church. It was good. She is very... African, Tom knows what I mean. She is great. So please keep them in your prayers. I won’t lie this week wasn’t a finding week.
We had a teaching week, but it has been a good one. The hard thing is getting our investigators to church. (Especially when our main member who helps us with a ton of stuff are in Canada). That is really the big thing right now. No one in Slough drives or has cars so they all need rides! It is crazy. Two weeks ago we had 12 people committed to go to church. Only seven a came, which is still really good but it has been crazy. All of our baptismal dates have to come to church one more time to be able to be baptized and some of them live far away so it is hard for them to get there.
The family we are teaching on the military base who the girls were whistling at us, they are doing really well. They are a family who has to take this all slowly, so we are drip feeding them. They are doing well and do come to church.
Love you all.
